Meet Mike & Marta

Mike & Marta have both lived in the north west Chicago suburbs for decades. They’ve been together for over 15 years, and with Mike’s two adult children now grown, they have time to hang out and explore. They’ve always been on the hunt for fun things to do - with or without the kids - and both are passionate about trying new foods and drinks (especially iced coffee for Marta). That shared love of discovering unique experiences and supporting local businesses is exactly how “Do The Burbs” started. What began as their own adventures has grown into a weekly resource that helps others find the best things to do across the Chicago Suburbs (focus on NW side).
